I hope so!!! Ahh, most beauteous pairing ...

It was the first yaoi pairing I encountered for this series, too! Along with IchiIshi, which the beginning of the anime shows right away.

I used to browse the Bleach gallery here long before I started watching the show. This was when the gallery was actually part of the forum, and people just posted pics in a thread. I gathered that Ichigo and Ishida were in school, but Renji and Byakuya must be from some alternate universe lol For whatever reason, I didn't find the pairing all that interesting; I thought the IchiIshi pics were hotter.

But then I started watching the anime, and when Renji and Byakuya made their first appearance!! (together! haha) I was like, hmm. Okay, I can work with this lol I was also surprised by how damn pretty (and small!) Byakuya was since in the fanarts people always drew him a bit differently. Renji seemed crazy with that big grin of his lol I was disappointed because they seemed like bad guys...

But I admit I wasn't REALLY in love with the pairing (or even a fan) until the whittling scene, which Ichigo so rudely interrupts *hmph!* Maybe because it actually gave us a hint at their relationship, and we literally could see them growing before our eyes, Renji realizing things about not just his captain, but about himself as well, and Byakuya realizing how loyal Renji really was to him.

Oh that reminds me arty, I should put the caps of them from that scene here :o

I just watched something like ... episode 150 or 151? And in the recap Rukia asks Renji if he's practiced the spell before, and he says he asked Taichou but Taichou just ignored him lolololz I didn't really understand what the conversation was about (help, anyone?) but it made me laugh

rukia asked if he's ever done that cry before and renji's like he's always asking taichou but gets ignored, so maybe rukia can ask him next time

Renji knows his taichou well ... I bet he WOULD do it if his precious Rukia asked him XD I do love that Byakuya just flat out ignores Renji
