Yes, yes, agreed! Bleach offers so many possible pairings that everyone can find something uniquely appealing. When I started watching it I was so overpowered with number of hot bishies At first, I didn't slash anyone at all. Then, the more obvious pairings started creeping in to my mind and I needed to read about them. Now, whenever I'm bored, I just grab a random fic and whatever the pairing is I can enjoy it. If you love the characters enough, it becomes easy. It's hard not to love them, they are so distinctive and memorable, and there's so many of them

@DarkMiasma ~ do you mean that there's not enough 'uke'-type girly male characters (aside from Yumichika) for Bleach to be slashable? i guess the art style of Bleach is a little but anguler face-wise, but with the multitude of characters, it's not hard to see some slashability, especially when they happen to be best friends or immediate superior/underlings etc etc ...

and like what everyone said ... these pairings are sometimes almost canon from certain character interactions

Oh I definiteyl agree that the infamous scene between Hisagi and Yumichika was loaded with sexual subtext/imagery, I don't deny that at all. What I personally don't like about their pairing (just a personal preference, it doesn't bother me if other people like it ^_^; is that I just don't see any chesmisty/lasting power. I just can't comprehend them getting along. But whatever =3

And I love about Bleach too that all pairings are possible. I think that Kubo did a good job of "something for everyone" with having hints at yuri and yuri pairings as well as het ones =3 Oh Bleach how I love you. XD

annie ~ I don't know what the "policy" is but I think as long as you posted who the pic is by, like "so-and-so from deviantart.com" so that forumers can find their work if they want to, then it's okay. I mean I would not want one of my fics posted randomly without anyone knowing it's me, but as long as my name is there it would be cool.

staces ~ I never even really thought of ShuuYumi until I came across this fabulous writer Celeste, who wrote a series of 500 Bleach drabbles, most of them chronicaling the life of ShuuYumi. And she did a brilliant job of showing us their everyday life; they had all the problems a newly married couple had XD and as time progressed, they became more of an OLD married couple

But you know I've seen ShuuKira and ShuuRen and all sorts of other pairings, and with the right writer or artist, anything is believable, even if I don't personally support it. Yeah, that's what we're all talking about here, there is just SOMEthing about Bleach that makes all these pairings possible and even believable, if you only squint.

In fact, there are SO many pairings possible, and with the same characters, that it gets to be difficult if you are really dedicated to a certain few lol Like me and ShunUki for example, I have to completely ignore Shunsui's tendency to flirt with Nanao ... but Shunsui x Nanao have to completely ignore Shunsui's REALLY FRIENDLY relationship with Jyuushirou

For some reason I can't get into any pair with Shuuhei, I've read some ShuuYumi before but I can't see it (though that might be because I can't split up MadarameYumi ) but no matter what pairings I saw it never ticked.. even though he's so hot, I prefer the idea of him being all alone ^_^

now ... bachelorhood yes but ... never getting laid? not necessarily ... if you listen to those drama cds, shuuhei is quite popular amongst the seireitei ladies ... its just never getting laid with/by another bishie
