Ah, carnaval... I'm afraid some people are gonna throw things at me now, but I've never celebrated Carnaval! For some stupid reason, we don't do carnaval over here... Well, in the tiny villages they kind of do, but I've never been there!! I would love to experience it for once...

I live in Nijmegen, probably a long way away from where you live!

Most importantly: do you have a city nearby where they sell yaoi??
We have *beams proudly* (silly ne), but Amsterdam is my prime city to buy yaoi, ever since our meeting there *thinks back melangcholicly* (probably spelled wrong).

You can read some eyewitnessaccounts from our last meeting here . But I don't think people will strip for us when we meet at Valentines too cold!

To all: OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE AT VALENTINES (14 feb 2009) (at least, the one that I will be organising ) Feel free to meet beforehand ^_^

@ Kreatio: come with me to 'do' carnaval in Den Bosch.... or better yet... get Sander to take you in Maastricht (those are the kind of places that know how to celebrate a real Carnaval), no offence, but in my opinion, the only places that Carnaval is any good, is in the Catholic South (so Bergen of Zoom is ok too IMHO)

I've once celebrated carnaval in your area, when I was sleeping over by my dad, but that was soooo dull. I really should just take you to Maastricht, we have REAL carnaval here

Oh, by the way: If you decide to come, you should not wear too cold clothes, for carnaval is celebrated here ON the streets, not in halls. Here's a picture of the Vrijthof (one of the major squares of the city) during carnaval and that's only during the day

and where shall we hold our next meeting? (maybe just as, or more important as the date) and I think it's safe to say it is going to be around begin February, end January (judging from all the reactions)
