I wasn't planning no, and probably can't (November is pretty hectic for me). But from the long and awkward silence I think I can deduct that either no-one has any idea where we should hold the meeting or no-one dares to suggest something. Well I have a suggestion: Utrecht. Almost every city has a direct connection with Utrecht (if travelling by train) and o.k. I admit it isn't the most interesting city there is (in terms of lot's of things to see) still it's pretty central and we have several comic book stores and a special 'woman's' bookshop (with a special section for all the... euuhhmmm... let's call them... well... people like me ^^) but if anyone has any other suggestions let's hear it
Nah, i'm not gonna go either... way too busy! Oh, and sorry for the awkward silence ^^ It wasn't really that I didn't dare to suggest something, but it's nearly 'toetsweek' so BUSYBUSYBUSY, heh But your suggestion of Utrecht sounds good, if you know some good bookstores and such it seems like a plan to me! But I think I remember some people came from pretty far away last time... maybe they would like it a little closer to THEIR homes this time? Oh, and 10th... you SHOULD really take me to Maasticht, I would really like to see it :P It would be so much fun, I think *if you don't think of having me (and Sas?) along as a burden, of course ^^*
well Kreatio that is why I suggested Utrecht (well it's still far away from the south and east of the country, still, it's easier to reach then Amsterdam (although that sounds kinda weird) ) No transfers from trains, no waiting on stations. And I believe it's an hour travel tops (for most parties... although I'm not sure of that) and it's just a suggestion ^^, other suggestions are welcome... And I don't know if the comic book stores sell yaoi (although I can always check -one has gravitation... I'm almost sure of that XD, I'll check though... just to be sure ^^-)
I'm really sorry, but Utrecht doesn't really feel right to me. For one thing: I've come to associate the place with workworkwork... with the NOT in januari 2009 as the next high (or low, how ever you'd want to see it). So it's not my ideal of a place to meet. How about Nijmegen? We have a store that sells yaoi (if we order now, they could get a bit of stock) ánd we have a store that sells anime... ok, it's not as much a touristy place as Amsterdam, and not as central as Utrecht.... At least we have a date! So we can all plan around that! Oh, wait, I've got it, let's vote!! Only, I've got no idea how to set one up
Im more for Utrecht than Nijmegen, just to be lastig xP I cant remember the last time I went to Nijmegen, but I like Utrecht ^^ but wherever you guys like ^^:; I'll just hope really badly that I can go >.< I dont know if the most of you already are old enough to go somewhere without parents permission or already can drive themselves. Anyone an idea on how to convince my parents I can go actually? ah, MC Denno? I have a question: what is your kind of people?? ^^:;
Hi choco, Most of us go by 'openbaar vervoer'. Some of us had to get permission, yes. As we were planning to go to a museum in Amsterdam, some told their parents they would go to a museum with friends... Depends a bit on how liberal your parents are... @Charlatan: wow, looks intense!! Are you going??
oh! can i come to at that meeting?? i'd love to come but maybe you guys don want a anoying, way too happy idiot ne? i like Utrecht more too, 'cause there is indeed a good connection to it from Apeldoorns OV!! and i dun know that much about Nijmegen... i don't think i've ever been there so maybe that fun too! i do not think that getting permission of my parents will be much of a problem for me as long as i wont go all alone... but falentines day... what day is that? a saturday??
my kind of people??? the ***gy kind ¬¬. And since it is in the weekend (cause most of us have a normal work week -well not me, but I believe the majority does-) week OV's aren't valid (for all you people who have one) and it will cost you €21.80 for a ticket 'Utrecht-Centraal' to 'Nijmegen' (just for general info for everyone). We do have three comic book stores in the city who have anime (or at least they used to have) although I don't know if they have yaoi. and Valentines day is on a Saturday ^^
Lonelychou, of course you can come!! Personally, I love annoying, way too happy idiots (You shouldn't say bad things about yourself, tsk! ) I do hope you can come as well, Choco! Maybe your parents would let you go if they have contact with one of us first (of course, if you don't want them to know what it's all about, you can just make up an excuse like Sas said ^^) Hmmm, so we kind of have a 'which city to go to' problem.... maybe a nice, positive expierence will be good for you, Sas, so you can associate it with good stuff!! But a vote seems good. We could open another thread for the new meeting somewhere, and add a poll!
I think Utrecht would be best for us all; it's the centre of the country, with about the same amount of travel for all non-randstad people. I'd say Utrecht is the most logical . But there's nothing wrong with Nijmegen either. @ Kreatio, You coming to Maastricht would be awesome. You really aren't a burden, don't worry about that And the more the merrier
