    Lol, that's a good way, aru!
    But I have a way that doesnt require using any softwares or passwords, and it's really a good way to hide them, aru! 8D

    Go to My computer -> Local Disk (C: ) -> Program files.
    Then you'll find a file called "xerox". Every PC / Laptop has that file.
    when you open that file, you'll find another file in it called "nwwia", it's empty. Don't delete it.
    Create another file in the "xerox file" and name it "setup".

    AND FINALLY, in that file, put EVERYTHING you want in it, aru! 8DD

    Lol, that's my way of hiding 'em. xP

    Thank you! I typically delete anything that could get me punished from my PC as soon as I've... for want of a better euphemism, fangirled... over it enough. Now I won't have to; thank you!

    The Simple Way and no need a software to hide your yaoi collection is like this:-

    1- make a new folder ( name it as you like )

    2- inside this folder make a ( .TXT ) file & copy inside it this (the entire thing)

    Code:
    Quote:
    Quote: cls
    @ECHO OFF
    title Folder Private
    if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK
    if NOT EXIST Private goto MDLOCKER
    :CONFIRM
    echo Are you sure you want to lock the folder(Y/N)
    set/p "cho=>"
    if %cho%==Y goto LOCK
    if %cho%==y goto LOCK
    if %cho%==n goto END
    if %cho%==N goto END
    echo Invalid choice.
    goto CONFIRM
    :LOCK
    ren Private "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
    attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
    echo Folder locked
    goto End
    :UNLOCK
    echo Enter password to unlock folder
    set/p "pass=>"
    if NOT %pass%== password here goto FAIL
    attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
    ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Private
    echo Folder Unlocked successfully
    goto End
    :FAIL
    echo Invalid password
    goto end
    :MDLOCKER
    md Private
    echo Private created successfully
    goto End
    :End
    3- After u copy the Commanding go to line 23 (or try using shortcut- CTRL+F and type password to locate the line) u will find this word : password here (Change it with any password u like.) is :

    ex: if NOT %pass%== yaoi20 goto FAIL
    (so ur password here becomes yaoi20)

    4- After that click file - save as,name the file as "locker.bat "

    5- Now back to the folder & u will find a ( LOCKER ) commanding.
    (locker.exe)

    6- Double Click on it & u will find a new folder (Private )

    7- Ok , now copy what u want in this "private Folder" & after that come out of the folder, and Double click on locker again. It will open and ask if you want to lock your folder? Y/N ?

    8- Type Y. your private folder will dissapear.

    9- If you want to UNLOCK your folder ,go to (locker) & type your pass and you will see your private folder.

    it's not only hide the folder, but unhide all files inside it... and try open it without entering password, it'll take u to the control panel...

    Also, if u want to store files on your Pen-Drive, u can use this script. No Software Required

    In case u delete your Locker file (just in case), then u can make a new one (but with the same password) and open it from that.

    Alternatively, u can keep this locker file somewhere else, and when u want to open ur folder, only then bring it back to that place ..

    I see some of you use Macintoshes.

    I'll offer my views on hiding 'super sekrit material' from the casual prying user to the ex-NSA helicopter parent.

    Aside from the usual hiding places (I hide mine in a folder otherwise used for software manuals - ha!) you can make files easily unsearchable by spotlight/finder.

    Just whip out System Preferences.
    Click on Spotlight (top right of the pane, big spyglass)
    Click on Privacy
    Click the + at the bottom of the list (which is usually empty by default)
    Navigate to your 'special folder'
    Select it and click 'choose'
    Whistle victory tune (I humbly suggest the one from the original Mario game.)

    If want not to be able to see the folder, you can download many tools that let you hide and unhide folders easily (Use google, or try Xray - it's one of them tools). A much easier way is to put a . in front of the filename, then use shift-command-g to manually get to the folder in the future. You can also use terminal, but this is recommended for 'experts' only.

    Password protection?
    You can put your files in an encrypted hard drive. How to create a password-protected (encrypted) disk image in Mac OS X 10.3 or later
    You can download a 3rd party tool to password protect folders.
    Or the easiest way - if you use a multiple account cd, right click and get info on a folder, then set the permissions on the file so only you can access it (everybody else needs your password).

    ...

    Ah, I see the title was about PCs! If this has offended anyone, I offer my condolences or apologies, depending on which would suit you better.

    I am also a huge fan of TrueCrypt. It's easy to use and very secure.

    Imo, if you want real privacy, you at least need a password lock- just "hiding" things somewhere is insufficient. Search tools are too good, and people just find stuff by accident too when they're messing around in the computer trying to do unrelated tasks that they can't figure out.

    I like Truecrypt as well. It's actually fairly easy to use and I think that you can use it for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux (I use it for Linux). I can "hide" everything I want. I use it to hide everything from my yaoi to my financial records...super secret stuff....

    Easy File Protector works like a charm! You can just set the password and your done! My cousins and little sister was like "hey, what's the password??!!" Haha! Serves them right!

    Also buying an External Hand Disk Drive (Portable or Static one) is a good idea since you can hide it or carry it with you anywhere.
