I was using the password thingy for some while as well, but now I put all my yaoi mangas on my external hard drive and my family never uses it, hardly my computer. And even if, I dont think they would know what yaoi means xD

As well, I have two external hard drives and can hide the one, so they dont even have the chance to have a look at my yaoi things

Truecrypt
I personally use truecrypt to crypt all my drives, but you can create encrypted file with X space. Then you just need to mount it with your password and its opens as "new drive". Easy to use and you can just transfer file on usb drive or anywhere and open it somewhere else =) Only minus is you need administrator rights on computer so cant to much if computer is restricted.

The Simple Way and no need a software to hide your yaoi collection is like this:-

1- make a new folder ( name it as you like )

2- inside this folder make a ( .TXT ) file & copy inside it this (the entire thing)

3- After u copy the Commanding go to line 23 (or try using shortcut- CTRL+F and type password to locate the line) u will find this word : password here (Change it with any password u like.) is :

ex: if NOT %pass%== yaoi20 goto FAIL
(so ur password here becomes yaoi20)

4- After that click file - save as,name the file as "locker.bat "

5- Now back to the folder & u will find a ( LOCKER ) commanding.
(locker.exe)

6- Double Click on it & u will find a new folder (Private )

7- Ok , now copy what u want in this "private Folder" & after that come out of the folder, and Double click on locker again. It will open and ask if you want to lock your folder? Y/N ?

8- Type Y. your private folder will dissapear.

9- If you want to UNLOCK your folder ,go to (locker) & type your pass and you will see your private folder.

it's not only hide the folder, but unhide all files inside it... and try open it without entering password, it'll take u to the control panel...

Also, if u want to store files on your Pen-Drive, u can use this script. No Software Required

In case u delete your Locker file (just in case), then u can make a new one (but with the same password) and open it from that.

Alternatively, u can keep this locker file somewhere else, and when u want to open ur folder, only then bring it back to that place ..

OMG! Thank you so mcuh! This trick is awesome~ It is sooo easy, no encypting needed, just a simple copy and paste! I have tried it and it worked soo well. Definitely recommend this to everyone else who's looking for the easiest way to hide your perverted stuffs lol

I bought an external harddisk to store Yaoi and other anime. When it´s unplugged, I can hide it anywhere. I will try the encryption software too, for my diary pages.

Another method might be to hide the Yaoi folder in a random software folder in Program Files and then give it an ordinary name. Nobody looks in Program Files anyways.
All you have to do is go the the Control Panel and go to User Accounts (That's what Vista has... I think It is just "Users" in XP...it's been a while since I've worked on an XP machine) and create the account. It's not hard. And when you are done, make sure that your account is locked with a password and doesn't automatically sign you in as you on boot-up.

That is one easy way.

But there is an even easier way, and faster than all of that encrypting business.

have you simplely tried making your folder "private" or "hidden" using your system's folder options .... right click ...make this folder private ..it will ask you to make a password ...write it down and keep it safe ...and all stays "hidden"
to find your folder .... you should find a right click option on the right click of your mouse actions to show "private" or "hidden" folders while using your account/user name
