Gay-movies

Pals.... I watched Brokeback Mountain not too long ago....

and I thought it was awful!

No offense, if someone liked it! Maybe I had wished for more... and with more, I mean more depth of feelings.
They looked like horny cowboys but not in love at all... (apart from this - irritating - sobbing-scene)

Geeeeeeeez, I wated so long, kept it until I could really ENJOY and appreciate the two hours and then I was let down. Guess I expected too much...

Anyway, apart from the non-loving and the rather forced vibes it gives, it was a wonderful movie! No seriously! Perfect family-story with the obvious bad ending. I like that, I just don't need it in a "fluffy gay movie" (as I had wished).

Yup, accepting reality and reality-like storyboards comes hard on me... :3

I really enjoy seeing movies about coming out and stuff xD

I liked Brokeback Mountain. I didn't get why they would fall in love but how the relationship continued was portrait in a good way. Each trying to deal with what they had experienced and with their love for the other in their own way. One would try to live the "decent" life, get married and try to forget him but never could.. he only allowed himself to accept that love when they would go on a trip.
The other doesn't know what to do with his love. he accepts it but can't do a thing, so he picks up guys, meets days end and waits for any sign from his love.
They do have feelings, but the focus is on the relationship.
What I miss in this film is rather that they didn't "explain" why they are in love. We don't see how those feelings develop. they meet, they go on the mountain and bang they are lovers.. huh?

I don't know what Huffy means with no feelings. I think there was plenty.

i still havent seen it but i dont know if i really want to see such a movie

Let's say... I totally disliked how the feelings (although I still have some doubts) were portrayed. Maybe I couldn't believe in them because they were only shown poorly. Of course.... if someone read the book and therefore knows of them, because the protragonists thought (!) about their love, then okay. But in the movie, it was different. I wasn't convinced... There was no reason too.
Still, it was a good movie and I don't regret watching it. It's just not my cup of tea. xD

zombie BL? is there such a movie?

Maybe you just couldn't "sense" them? I don't know what to say, because I think there were enough shown. *mit den Schultern zuck*

anyone watched "Sugar" with brendan fehr btw? i'm in the middle of watching it and it seems a bit confused at the beginning

Anyone here want to reccomend some good gay movies to me? I'd really watch anything as long as it's good, plot- & actor-wise. It's kinda hard to keep me focused and I know that I've lost interest in a movie once I start forwarding it to the more 'action-packed' scenes. (nooo, Im not talking about sex scenes [though I don't exclude those xD])

As for Brokeback Mountain, I'm not a fan of it either. My thoughts are similiar to Hud, there was not enough depth. Although I have to admit that the actors were damn hot and the reunion kiss scene alone was worth the watch. Can watch it over and over again. *-*

One of my all time favourite is Love of Siam. <3 Oh and Orovingwen there is a Zombie themed gay porn (emphasizing porn here) movie if you are interested... I haven't had the courage to watch it yet, but I have it at hand and I will, definitely will watch it someday...

Haha, zombie themed gay porn? That's sounds so wrong, yet interesting xD. From which year is it? If it's old it might not be as scary as todays scary movies lol.

If you have nothing to do you could browse through all 13 pages lol. But movies you definitly have to watch are like Sommersturm! :3 I can't remember any others atm, maybe I can find the time to reread all 13 pages myself xD
