To fix the error 1503 you just have to mount the boost.iso after you ran the LmtDVDVer 1.01, 1.02, and 2.00 in the same folder where the game is at and that should solve your problem.

I mounted Lamento_DVD.iso as well as the boot.iso. That solved the problem for me.

Hmm, I can try to help (bear with me, I'm not great at this either) But it works on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop, so I don't see why that would be a problem

Is everyone sure it's mounted in DAEMON Tools? or whatever your using? (I've only used DAEMON Tools so far)

edit: I believe there is a patch you need, that you may be missing
(again, limited info, I'm not sure) So you need to run: LmtDVDVer103.exe (Application)
If you've already done that... I'll try again >.<

By "Not running", what do you mean, exactly? If you could go into a bit more detail about it, such as any error messages, windows that come up, or not, or anything else.

Also, could you make sure your System Locale is set to Japanese? Don't confuse this with the System language. They are two different things. The System Locale makes it so that you can run Japanese programs properly. (Such as game installers)

And if you could also grab screenshots of the installation folder where you installed Lamento, that'd be awesome!

I hate to bump an old thread, but we're trying to install Lamento on my friend's laptop, which is running Windows 8. Not 8.1. Is there a compatibility issue with that version of Windows? I got the game to work just fine on Windows 7 64-bit, but when I install the game just like I did on my computer, boot.iso and the DVD .iso mounted and everything, the game just won't start. No errors, nothing. I just get the running circle on the mouse icon, then nothing happens. I even applied the updates and patches to see if it would run. I've seen mention around the site about a crack file, but I have no idea where to find such a thing and google hasn't been very helpful. If anyone could possibly direct me to a solution, I'd be grateful, especially since we've been trying for two days unsuccessfully.

Actually, there's a huge difference in game compatibility between Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. It's in your friend's best interest to make the switch to the new 8.1 update, especially if they play a lot of games. In fact, a HUGE chunk of even STEAM games stopped working until the 8.1 update was applied.

The crack file is an EXE that's about 700kb that came with the ISO (It's just called 'Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-.exe', but it's not the 1mb one that is installed with the game).
