because Shuurei isn't the crybaby type, she's not stupid and her decisions are pretty rational. Also, she realizes things happening around her pretty quickly. The usual shojo mangas and animes include a dumb irritating crybaby as the main character... so that's why.
Btw, I love bishies too, although when a bishie is stupid, I guess I just don't like him too much... 8-DDD

We agree with the "official" shoujo classification, however, have you guys seen the ending of episode 32, second season?
When asked what he needs, Ryuuki answered without hesitation:
Ran Suuei!
And he said like this:
"We must grap hold of the thing we want with our own hands"
"Definitely must grap hold of Ran Suuei"
And he keeps looking at his empty hand. What exactly does the Emperor miss? Suuei bedtimes stories?
One doesn't need to be a pervert to see at least shounen-ai there!
As soon as I can, I will have a compilation of all the best and most intimate "Suuei x Ryuuki" moments.
BTW, I love Suuei, he deserves more to be Ryuuki partner. Shuurey, isn't willing to sacrifice anything for Ryuuki, while Suuei, gave everything up. That moment at the end of episode 38, season II, when he swear himself to Ryuuki it's so touching!

btw - I think you should try not to post spoilers, ep. 38 isn't out yet. I think the subs are still at #32 unless crystalis released again yesterday.

Yes, it will be a music video. Maybe I should wait for Crystalis to complete the subs, because I was already including parts form episodes 36, 37 and 38.
