SAIUNKOKU MONOGATARI

surprisingly, I didn't think of anyone of the guys as a girl. I do a lot with some other guys from other animes but not this time. I had a huge problem with Seguchi Toma from Gravitation - even after they mentioned he was a guy, I still called him a girl. 8-DDD But here... it's probably because the seiyuus always sound like guys so there's really no place for a mistake.

Yeah Saiunkoku men are obviously masculine...but remember when they met Seien was 12 and Shuuei was 10

Well, they aren't all too masculine, our beloved Ryuuki looks like a beautiful woman, and Seiran, we are talking about him right? When he lived at the Palace as a prince, he dressed like Ryuuki, so wouldn't be rare If Shuuei mistook him for a girl. I wonder if he tried to seduce him.

I had the same experience with Shuichi Shindou in Gravitation! It was the first shōnen-ai anime for me. I didn't even know what yaoi or shōnen-ai was at the time. I remembered watching the first episodes wondering
Well, he/she has pink hair, dressed like a girl, acts like a girls, maybe too young to have breast ... OMG! It is a boy.

Ryuuki looks like a chick... which why he's so adorable! Okay no, actually for me, the reason he's so adorable, is because Tomokazu Seki can go from his deeper Kyo voice, to the Chichiri voice, to the Shuuichi voice, all in one sentence with Ryuuki... and it makes me giggle!

Oh and, Hi! I'm new to the group... and I love Saiunkoku! WOOT!

Shuuei had been sent to the palace to be Seien's bodyguard and future right hand man!!

I've been thinking of a AMV with Shuuei best moments with Ryuuki and Kouyuu.
