Is it normal to be a lesbian, but not really like yuri?

Maybe I like yaoi because the dudes look like girls, I dunno. LOL.

I think it's normal, sure. I know plenty of lesbians who don't like yuri. Yuri is just written differently than yaoi. It's supposed to be sweeter and written for (mostly) a male fanboy audience. I love a lot of yuri, myself, but I think I prefer yaoi.

Watching yuri I tend to focus on a character I like rather than a pairing. =w= I can't really ship yuri pairings well because I tend to want to keep one of the girls all to myself. <3

^_^ Yaoi loving lesbian here! I just joined and I love all kinds of different yaoi/shounen-ai and slash pairs. I used to be a big yuri fan but then I disovered yaoi and well became a huge yaoi fan! I like both yuri and yaoi series but Yaoi is my favorite. I don't know why exactly..but I love it ;D I't all started with Gravitation ^^

It's quite funny I started out as being bi (for a brief moment when I was younger) but watched yaoi before yuri or anything shoujo-ai-ish.. and calling myself a lesbian. My first yaoi/boys love in general was Sensitive pornograph! Probably the most hardcore of it all and to watch it first.. I'm surprised it didn't frazzle my brain haha! Love it now though of course!
