How to block a site from my computer.

I am addicted to one forum (I won't say which one), but it has become very unhealthy for me. The other posters there have poisoned my mind and my soul, and it leaves me feeling like nothing but a big ball of rage.

Yet I keep coming back there for more and more.

Is there any way that I can set up my system to block any attempts to access this particular forum? Any way that I can password protect the way to get into it, and then just completely forget the password?

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out with this.

Umm do you use a router? I'm not sure if they can but you can block the content. Or use some access manager and get someone else to block it from you.
I know what you mean about those sorts of forums. -_- I just gave them up cold turkey and found nice friendly places. Also maybe change your password on the forum. Like I did with my paypal accout TRULY accidently. So I have less money to spend.

I just discovered a way to block my access to that site.

First, I DLed and installed "Web Bubba".

Then I played around with my "hosts" file until I figured out how to add IP addies that I wanted to block. I don't recommend this sort of play to people who don't know what they are doing, but I was lucky.

Now when I try to access those forums, all I get is a blank page.

I hope that this is for the best.

Is there any way for me to block access to another website from my PC in a way that cannot be so easily reversed? I frequent another forum that is turning out to be very unhealthy for me and my sanity, and at this point I feel the best way to deal with that would be to block access to that forum from my home PC and throw away the keys so that I can't unblock this access.

Anybody that could explain how to manage this to me would be given mucho thanks.

Thanks, but I'd rather do it myself given the potentially embarrassing nature of the forums I plan on blocking.

You can try software but since you would be installing it yourself, you'd also know how to reverse it easily enough.

I'd also like help with this. I've decided that 4chan, despite all the good pictures I got from the /y/ section, is just bad for my character as a whole. Maybe someone can help me?
