AntiVirus recommendation (for PC), anyone?

Before everyone starts posting their preference you cold check the Shields Up sticky and the Protect Yourself ont he internet sticky.
Any specific questions can also be asked here just to avoid having a thread where everyone just says what they use and without any proper info that is related to your question, and because this is why we have that sticky.
Quick pointed advice for internet protection; make sure you use a secure browser, a proper add blocker (because almost all online viruses are nowadays hiding in adds). As for AV; Malwarebytes for non shield active scanner with perhaps Nod32 or Avira (which is free). MSE is also a good choice. But keep recon that it also depends on the user, if you start doing insecure things then not even an AV can protect you.

Another good browser safe tool is WoT, works the same way as McAfee Security, you can see the one you like best. Safe Browsing Tool | WOT (Web of Trust)

Thank you so much for pointing me to those threads! I've been reading & researching AV reviews for a long time, so for me, direct feedback from current users of a specific software is more relevant than a list. I.e., it helps to get feedback from personal experience.

Thanks a lot, mo0n. I used McAfee before, and dropped it (though it was so long ago, I don't remember why). Be that as it may, AVs are constantly upgraded, so I'll definitely look into that again.

Well as far as i know the best one is Kaspersky but it really ***** your Ram ^_^!
Atm I use Avira.
never ever had A prob.
Even When i was at high school we used avira.
Now on Univ Kaspersky :O!
