    Firefox/IE text problem

I searched this forum and didn't find a thread about this. If something like this has been posted before, I'm sorry.

When I browse forums, all the text (unless modified by poster) shows in bold if I use Firefox, and italic if I use IE. It's getting really annoying.

Does anyone have the same problem? And does anyone know how to solve this?

Sorry I can't help with Firefox as I only use IE8. Maybe if you upgraded it would get rid of the problem. Or you could try changing the IE font if you have not done that already. Sorry that's all I could come up with.

Make sure your text size in Firefox is set to normal (look under the View menu)--it's easy to mistake text that's one size larger than it should be for boldface. Also, check your default font settings in both browsers, and make sure you don't have any accessibility stylesheets turned on. (I can't give exact directions on where to look for those settings because the menus in the Linux version of Firefox are not set up quite the same way as those for Windows, and the last version of IE I have access to is ancient--sorry.)
