This usually means that the download was interrupted. This could be the fault of your internet connection or protection software you may be running. (Such as an antivirus or firewall) Since these are larger files, it's entirely possible that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is capping your download allocation in some way, or is blocking certain activity. Depends on which country you reside in, how the laws are set up, etc.

Make sure you aren't losing your internet connection at any point during the file transfer. If you're using Firefox, make sure to update to the most recent version (older versions had issues downloading files due to the way certain config files were set up), and make sure your download manager (the one built into firefox) is actually turned on. Otherwise, I don't know what other advice to give.

I've seen this problem before, and sometimes it works to delete the broken files (and empty the recycle bin) and then clear your browser's cache before attempting to download the file again. If you don't, then the download may not work correctly no matter how many times you try to download it.

Add to that connection interrupted between your hardware (talking about external storage)... I had also an issue with a rooter reinitialising itself... kind of an issue
And same kind of Internet connection interrupted while having at the same time a connection via cable and the WiFi on (computer switching fro one to another)

... as fataltea specified it, look at all possibilities that could interrupt your download, but not only the Internet connection. Try to eliminate one after the other one... and you'll find the cause
(1) ISP related
(2) Internet connection fault
(3) Firewall/AV software in action
(4) Modem/Rooter deficient, rebooting, other (cable/DSL & WiFi at the same time)
(3) Hardware link/connection interrupted (External hard-drive losing the connection)
(4) whatever else...
