New Amazon Kindle DX Digital Book! Oh Yeah!

Hnn... Is it necessary to only purchase books off Amazon for the Kindle? For example I have Barns & Noble free e-book reader on my desktop.. and on my Iphone, I have no issues with B&N so far.

Would I be able to add my ebooks from B&N to Kindle?

the Barns and Noble ereader was the other one I considered buying, the problem however is that it is atm US only. I could order one but since I do not live in the US I wouldn't be able to buy and transfer any books from their store

As for the transfer, the products of Amazon are for kindle kinds only. I don't know how the transfer is done, if the books are .pdf then my guess is yes but if not then it would be difficult. Since it is impossible to transfer kindle books for kindle to any other reader I would say it wasn't

All converters I find are those to convert book files to a read able format for your kindle, not the other way around
