pictures in post

I have been wondering about this for a while

in the official thread rule, we are only allow to post up to 5 pictures per post. If we want to post more, we are to reply to that post with another post of 5 pictures.

the problem is how do you define pictures? eg: jpg, png, bitmap....and so on. Are gif consider as pictures?
And are gif(really small ones) counted as 1 picture?
eg: about that size below or smaller



I am asking this because in thread like the "card wishlist and thank you" thread, we are limited to one post, thus, making it impossible to reply to the post with another 5 pictures

Images are defined as you said, jpg, png, bitmap, as well as gifs. Anything that you can attach an [img] tag to and will show up as an image on the forum. That small gif is considered one image, no matter the size is, it's still an image regardless.

One easy solution to share more images without actually showing the pictures is adding a link to the picture.

Why are you trying to share more than 5 pictures in a wish list thread anyway?

that explains a lot

i just never consider gif as pictures since it is small

and I spotted a fair amount of ppl having quite a few small gif in their wishlist(more than 5) thus that made me wonder and brought about this question

Erm, I edited my post after you posted

I guess in the wishlist case, people do post a bit more, but it should stop everyone at 10 or so max (by the forum itself). The 5 limit rule is more strictly enforced in places like the photo album and art member section where images are likely to be large and huge, but for other cases like this thread, I think it's okay to have a little more.

And no, no limit on the amount of links to pictures
