CANNOT PLAY VIDEO & Codec Problems???

Go to http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Co...k_download.htm and download one of the packs. I recommend getting the "Download [ K-Lite Codec Pack 2.71 FULL ]"

Install it, leaving all the settings to default. So just keep clicking next until you done installing.

All/most vids should play now, if not, then post here.

Hey there, I'm having problems with playing newly downloaded animes such as Gakuen Heaven episode 4 RAW. I have installed the klite pack but I'm still having problems, wmp still keeps on giving me codec errors.

When installing the klite pack, there's some errors that occured too, I can't successfully install the mkz.dll, mkzlib.dll and vsfilter.dll. I've retried it many times but it didn't work, so I ignore the problems and move on the installation. And the video is still can't be played. Please do help me on this, it's getting on my nerves.

first make sure the video is not corrupt.

if it is not:

1. uninstall ALL codecs from your computer (klite and every other codecs u installed manually)
2. restart computer
3. reinstall k-lite
4. restart.

It still didn't work, wmp is still giving me codec errors... I'll try asking the uploader if the file is corrupted. If it's not, I'll post my problems again. ^^

I already have DivX Bundle installed ... will installing this other codex mentioned in the first post be in conflict with it?

Antique Cake Store (Bakery) Ep6 does not play for me in Win Media Player w/ DivX installed ... It does play in DivX go figure *shrugs*

I downloaded the codec thing but all my media players still say that the file is not a "Movie" file so i still cant open the files I download. Any ideas what the problem might be??

I have real player, quicktime, and microsoft media player but none of them work. As to what my file extension is: I wish I knew what that was......

If that question was aimed at me as well ... The files are in AVI format and my default player is Windows Media 10 ...

@justplainevil: Locate your file and see the extension (what's after the dot it must be .avi)
@Arc Da Rat: Windows Media suck! '>.<' Get BsPlayer or VLC media player.

And remember there's always the posibility of the file being is corrumpted and it's not about codecs or player.
