.a list of interesting webcomics for the reading.

Webcomics are a lot of fun to read and talk about. The idea that the authors are fans and friends and so easy to talk to makes them all the more interesting. However, though there are many lists on the internet, it's hard to sort through them and to find exactly what you want.

I thought this thread could make it a little easier, by listing a number of webcomics that myself and other members find really interesting. Please feel free to post about what webcomics you think should be added and talk about developments in some of your favorite online comics.

    . BL webcomics .

    -->> Yaoi Briefs <<--
Yaoi Briefs is a really nice site that is just starting up. It helps to promote yaoi/BL webcomics, their merchandise, publications, and Con' appearances.

Vault Seven Hundred and Eleven - a cute Harry Potter fan comic.
=STARFIGHTER= - a SciFi drama. Very steamy with a lot of intrigue. Extremely popular.
TEAHOUSE - a Victorian brothel (having both males and females) dealing with all of the drama and flying hormones that such a situation entails.
PANDECT - a Fantasy which takes place in a high school filled with animals in human form. Very long and interesting.
Breath - a former surfing prodigy falls in love with the local nerd and struggles to convince him that he is sincere.
Love Prohibited - a student falls in love with his teacher and many shoujo flowers ensue.
Rainbow Carousel - in a world where elves are a disliked minority, Bubblegum falls in love with one and has his whole perception of their race changed. ♥
Pika "Seme" Chu! - a pokemon fan comic in which pikachu (and a few others) are changed into sexy naked young men by another strange pokemon. Only the first few chapters are in english.
Not Yours, Am I? - a lovely love triange. Lyle and Kyla are fraternal twins. When Kyla moves away, Shigure turns to Lyle for sexual comfort. But, when Kyla comes back, they have to decide if their feelings for one another were real or not.
Dexter's Lab - I felt epicly happen when I found this. It's a Dexter's Lab fancomic. Mandark and Dexter have grown up and Mandark still constantly bothers Dexter. In his genius, Dexter clones a female version of himself to occupy Mandark. But, must deal with unwanted feelings of jealousy when Mandark seems to accept her.
Jack & Jill - Jack, a suicidal, teenage perfectionist, gives life a last chance for the summer when he meets Jill, an adrenaline-addicted coked-up delinquent, during a suicide attempt, who promises to convince him to live.
Forced Seduction - Never have I followed a webcomic as religiously as I've followed Forced Seduction. The plot is fairly straightforward, Haru makes a bet with some friends to make the next person who walks into the room fall in love with him. This is when the BL comes in, (aka enter seme) Shiratori~! "Forced Seduction," is funny, sweet, full of sparkle power, blushing boys, a fujoshi mother, and many, many awkward (cute) moments. The webcomic has been ended, but the author has talked of a sequel. (courtesy of Otawan)

    . non BL webcomics .

Kagerou - Kano is psychotic (in the most literal sense), but he's the only one who can save a collapsing fantasy realm. Good luck to them.
House of Kards - a strange, dark comic of unknown origins. But, it has an awesome tophat, yo.
Love Magic - WARNING! Hentai. But, it's hilarious and has tentacle monsters. TENTACLE MONSTERS! XO
Afterworld - a young noble wakes up in a graveyard, undead. A thick web of intrigue as to how he came to be that way is woven around him.
Dark Phrase - It's just starting, but it seems that in a darkened world, hidden warfare goes on between children with strange powers. Coolio.
Minor Acts of Heroism - the art is a nice combination of a dark and modern cartoon, and the vibes of classic comics. The story also reflects that combination too I guess. It's of the superhero genre, but focuses more on the sidekicks. (courtesy of Otawan)
Luffinpuff and Eric - is complete and utterly silly. Eric is a bratty pre-pubescent boy who'd rather play Halo, Luffinpuff is his best friend. (Sorta.) They go on magical adventures, until Eric does something stupid or makes someone angry. This is one hundred percent comedy. (courtesy of Otawan)
Gloomverse - is odd, very odd at that. Take your standard angstfest teenager, kick him out, and then make him a sadistic magician's apprentice. (That's Gloom Verse in a nutshell.) It's kind of a dark comedy, but I'm reluctant to call it that. It is so colourful. My eyes burn with joy when I see updates. (courtesy of Otawan)
In Your Head - I admit I only started reading In Your Head because the main character talks to an imaginary chick. I stayed for the orange panels, interesting art, and the three way conversations with his therapist. "In Your Head," is an interesting look at insanity and therapy. The author is on hiatus right now, but what's written is worth reading. (courtesy of Otawan)
Syringe - Though still early in the story, so far we know that Erin, the main character, is phobically afraid of needles. During a vaccination, he punches the school nurse and ends up in the principal's office. While waiting to be reprimanded, Erin meets a boy that is rumored to have stabbed another boy in the eye with a box cutter. He tells himself that he will just avoid the boy, but things don't really go his way.

    ~BL~

@ Otawan: Oh, thanks a bunch! I posted all of the comics you suggested into the first post and borrowed your descriptions of them as well. I also kind of bookmarked all four to read in the future. ;D I love webcomics, so I'm really glad you took enough interest to contribute.

A friend of mine gave me a big list of webcomics that she really likes. I haven't read any yet, so consider them unrated. But, here's a list of them. Once I read them and get caught up, I'll add the ones I find worthy to the list with a summary and everything. :3 Um, but here they are if you want to check them out ahead of time:

La Macchina Bellica - Some manner of strange elf/steam punk war time yaoi that's pretty dramatic...
Blood In Love - I don't think this is yaoi. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's het, but I'm assured that it's very good. Um, strange cave man explosions. ;o
Red Dog Venue - Weird zombie kidnapping or something? Art is very reminiscent of american style comics.
Peter And The Wolf - A comedic ( i guess ) yaoi story about a guy who is supposed to be a sheppard, but sucks at it? That's about what I got from it so far. :3
The Dusk - Another elf story. Haven't even started into this one at all, but it seems it's fantasy styled and the art is gorgeous. Pretty sure it's yaoi.
Bath Time and Pet Trainer Genesis - A Final Fantasy VII webcomic doujinshi. Mostly gag, but a lot of hot sex. Based mostly off of Crisis Core.

    And, that's about it. :3
Feel free to let me know what you think about any of them if you read them before I put them up. Or, even after I put them up. It don't matter. ;o
