discussing series 4 [SPOILERS!]

Man, this season 4 is just pulling out all these tearjerkers one after another!Episode three finally had LOL scenes with the "old" Merlin (who is awesome! ) But come on! Not again! I feel soooo bad for Merlin, that's the second this has happened (the first being when Morgause "enchanted" Arthur and showed him his mother).

And here for a second I dared hope that Merlin and his magic would actually be acknowledged and all DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:

but i´ve got to say..i liked the drunken arthur, especially without shorts...XDDD

Wow, that was one awesome episode. I loved it so much even if it was sad. It really showed how much Merlin cares for Arthur. He waited for him all night just so he wouldn't feel alone. How sweet is that? I can imagine just how bad Merlin is feeling; thinking that it's all his fault for what happened and because of him Arthur has rejected magic...again. Poor thing ;_;

At about 17:40 did anyone else notice this: Arthur went to give merlin the reins but wasn't really looking so they ended up holding hands a bit...

Can we just talk about the fact that Bradley James gave Colin Morgan a piggyback ride?


we can talk about bradley’s hands all over his tights

we can talk about how many takes they needed/wanted to get that scene right

one day, merlin will have to tell arthur the truth about everything, and how's arthur supposed to take this:

i lied to you about your mother's death when you tried to kill your father (in season 2)
i poisoned your half-sister so she got kidnapped by morgause and turn against you and camelot forever

i dont even want to try to imagine what they'll do to merlin to make arthur forgiving him for all these sh!t



and then, there are these few minutes while i thought the ep was over already, when my heart exploded

and you can say whatever you want: this ↑↑↑ is the moment when its no long prince arthur, but the once and future KING ARTHUR
it is beyond brilliant, "It's a new day"


"Have you been here all night?" the way he says it, its not even a question

"I didn't want you to feel that you were alone." like merlin does it's sooooo beautiful and hurts o much at the same time!!!


"You're a loyal friend, Merlin."

and whats the first thing he does as the new king: having breakfast with his manservant
"You can make us some breakfast."



so before we get to the last scene:
i already said this for ep 1, but this episode just floored me:

we always knew that colin is just a f*cking brilliant actor, but he outdid himself in this episode - again
you can turn him into a 80-years old, awkward geezer or make him just sit on a bench, all by himself not talking, hardly moving and he still takes your breath away and conveys more feelings than you ever thouhg possible for a tv series that started as a kid series.

and bradley...
in the past, he has always been praised for his fighting skils, his comedy talent and, lets face it, for his looks.
and then this season happened.
pick whatever scene from this episode:

his lil chat with uther at the beginning
when he held him in his arms, fearing to loose his only parent, crying, and just being a young man, who feels that he's just not ready for whats to come
his worrying about the dying king
the moment they try to heal uther
his mourning
and everything from that scene above

OMG THAT SCRIPT. And it totally sounds like Gwaine wants Merlin to be his damsel in distress XD

I love this show.

And that 'it's a new day' scene gets me every time. The music is so damn perfect. I was actually crying the first time I saw Colin's face after Arthur said 'you're a loyal friend'. He looked so...disappointed, like he just got friendzoned ;A; He plays tortured emotions perfectly.

And I don't know if it's just me, but in these last few episodes it could actually be interpreted that Merlin has a bit of a one sided thing for Arthur (not just our fangirl brains working overtime XD). Last series didn't have the same sort of mood, but this one is just perfect so far. I just hope it continues being awesome and hopelessly angsty. I love angst, if only because I like seeing Colin's sad face. I know that sounds weird, but he's too cute when he looks like he's about to cry

only thing i missed in those scenes was the friendship between gwaine and merlin!!! mr. gorgeous hair spends to much time with the knights!
