hello everyone...i just discovered this group....so here i am
aww...I've just joined this group...anyway, does anyone know where I can find some good yaoi Saiunkoku fics??^^
There is an LJ comm called saiunkoku_fics and springkink comm also has a few R and X rated stuff
Hey Yamino-san! You are a Saiunkoku fan too!
@xcc: yep....love the story and characters....
Does anyone know if box sets for season one are available on amazon.com? If not, how many DVDs are there? Coincidentally, as I'm typing this, I have my player on random, and a cute incidental song from the soundtrack just came on XD
@artemis ~ there doesnt seem to be a boxset of all the episodes yet, there's just single dvds sold seperately. according to the official english site, there should be 9 discs altogether, but only the first 2 volumes are even listed on amazon (the rest are japanese imports) so im thinking they might not be released yet (which is weird because the second volume was released in october last year. its possible that the series isnt selling well so they're not releasing on time usually the case with anime series is that they release the first disc and then release the first disc in this nifty box that lets you put all the rest of the discs, and basically make you buy them one by one which ends up costing 2 or 3 times more than what a completely boxset would sell for But for avid fans with money, i guess they dont care >_>
I like that box lol Definitely can't afford it. Why did they change the name order? And Shuurei's family name isn't Hong! o_O Only anime I have on my wishlist is Tactics because it comes in a lovely box set, with the whole series for like 50 bucks I think. I was hoping SaiMono did the same, but no luck I guess
They changed the name order because its the 'Western' way of naming - they do that to all animes - "Byakuya Kuchiki" and all that... Americans who don't know anything about Japanese culture would be 'confused' with the naming scheme -_-; and also be confused with the family names, because there's another Kou (Kou Kijin) which means yellow, so they changed Shuurei's to Hong (which is the Chinese pronounciation for 'red') ... kinda stupid as they could have changed Kijin's to 'Huang'/'yellow' and left Shuurei The Main Character's name intact
I wonder if the name changes and switches are in the subtitles as well as the dubbing though?
