</triple pun title> This, I guess, is a list of artists, sorted by genre. You can post artists/genres and I'll try to accommodate all of them. By genre, I mean 'sounds similar to' (hence grouping modular records together, etc - they're known to rotate gear between bands like Midnight Juggernauts and Cut Copy. But I digress.) I tried to rip a list of itunes, but my genre sorting system sucks ass, so I just made this one off the top of my head. Suggestions with genre accepted. Note: Actually, I find that I group artists by their link to a 'scene' (that word) - basically just a bunch of people performing with each other, making similar-ish music, in the same country. On second thoughts, screw that, all electronic music goes under multiple genres. </long pointless rant about how genre sorting doesn't work anyway> Will start off with: French House Daft Punk Stardust (band consisting of Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe, Benjamin Diamond) Alan Braxe Fred Falke Kris Menace Lifelike Together (DJ Falcon, Thomas Bangalter) Bob Sinclar (early works only) Cassius Etienne De Crecy Motorbass Philippe Zdar Le Knight Club Polargeist Siriusmo (fits into a lot of other categories really, but his early stuff) Modjo Midnight Club Bit Funk Silicone Project Quinten 909 Nightriders Crazy Aussies (aka 'Modular Records, Bang Gang records, and friends' The Avalanches (actually, this sounds like nothing else anywhere on any of these sublists, but they're Australian, and signed to modular, and awesome.) Midnight Juggernauts Cut Copy Van She The Presets Klaxons Ladyhawke New Young Pony Club (pushing it with 'electronic' definition but they get remixed like hell) MSTRKRFT Yeah Yeah Yeahs Chromeo The Whitest Boy Alive Bag Raiders Hystereo K.I.M.
