I am interested in how Japanese children learn those Kanji. I want to sit with them in the classroom when they learn them *g*
all jouyou kanji in 2 years? that is pretty fast. Japanese people have 12 years or so. I take my time.
Gravitation has furigana anyway, so I don't need the kanji to read it.. only for the one book they didn't translate into english. books doesn't have furigana it seems only the mangas.

yaaah, me to!!! XD in kindergarten it's mostly very simple kanji like "hito", "onna", "nihon" (of course XD) and it seems they have to write them over and over angain... BUT as they all live in japan, the children rememeber them pretty fast. q.q so unfair!

oh yes... books are quite difficult. not only the missing furigana but the grammar too XD
I didn't even know there were gravitation books >//< maybe there is gonna be an official translation... how old is it?

I thought the kindergarten is only suppose to teach Kana. And they start with Kanji in first class of school. I have a resource where you can look up which kanji are taught in which class and they do start off with numbers and easy stuff (as you said) in first class.
Maybe we should become Japanese children XD

I got the gravitation books in English, all I could find. And I purchase the Japanese books as motivator.
The English books I have are "Gravitation - the novel" and "Gravitation - Voice of Temptation" The Japanese one I have is "Red" but there is also a "blue" one.
If I read that right on the Japanese wiki (which is more guessing) red is suppose to be "the Novel" and Blue "Voice of Temptation. It's the newer editions, which would explain the different artwork.

o_O That even interests me... the "which kanji are taught in which clkass-thingie"! Is it a link? (If yes, pls post it ^^)... or is it just a list in one of your learning-books?
Gravitation must be a nice motivator xD
Maybe I'd learn Japanese, once my most favourite titles stop getting translated...
This... or I'd pay Oro-dear to translate it for me!
