Yu Yu Hakusho

It's the cheekbones. Kuwa has those bubble cheekbones with that long face, and then the Elvis hair style and pupil-eyes... His design is absolute thug and he's definitely the "dumb" member of the group. Of course, all of that is what makes him so darn endearing.

I'm a Kuwa/Yukina fan because he's cute when he prances, and because it's perfect to irritate Hiei. I also support Yusuke/Keiko because she puts up with a lot of crap for his sake. On the other hand, I love how the boys cry over each other in the anime. Yusuke blowing up over Kuwa during Genkai's tournament, and again during the Dark Tournament, and Kuwa getting all tearful in the Sensui arc... Stuff like that makes the yaoi fangirl in me go "squee~" I prefer friendship fics because I don't want the girls turned into b*tches just to pair the guys up. But if the girls are conveniently elsewhere, I wouldn't mind seeing Yusuke and Kuwa together. I've also run across some fun KuwaxHiei fics (don't ask for links, this was years ago) and I can even see some Kuwa/Kurama in the series (Kurama calling him "Kuwa-kun" during the Sensui arc and those girls mistaking him for Kuwa's girlfriend).

Other Kuwa pairings... I would love to see more of Kuwa paired up with that blonde "water" boy he fights and then rescues. You know, the one who cries and then gets rescued by Kuwa *again* when Sniper tries to take him out? Yeah, he's a perfect uke for Kuwabara. Kuwa could be as protective of him as he is of Yukina and it would be totally in character. I'll never understand why there aren't more doujinshi of those two. I haven't even seen fanfics, though I've considered doing some myself.

/scanlations - My goal is to get the first 30 real/tide books, in order, so I can scanlate the missing parts from the old YYH djs in english aestheticism site. I still can't get over how long those djs are, manga sized, consistent quality, compared to "modern" 30 page djs.
