Dutch Yaoi Fans

Poems for Sinterklaas? I know songs but not poems. We usually get mandarins or chocolate or "pieknieken" (I have no idea what they're called in English, I don't even know if that's the correct Dutch word for them. ). Sometimes someone at uni dresses up and gives everyone candy, but this year Sinterklaas is on a Sunday, so I didn't get anything this year.

I was just thinking: isn't Sinterklaas on the 5th in the Netherlands? Here in Belgium it's on the 6th, so that's Sunday. And Sinterklaas came by at uni today (a day late, tsk, how dare he. ), so I did get some chocolate and candy after all.

Yes, in Belgium it's one day later. Is there a commercial story behind this scheme?

Anyway, you are really NEVER too old for Sinterklaas. It won't be as intimate and cosy as when you were younger at school or with family. You don't have to sit behind the tv and watch Sinterklaas appear on every tv show (well I love doing that, I'm so fascinated by Sinterklaas. I even assembled a small Sinterklaas winamp playlist XD). The gift-giving ritual and the surprise that you technically don't know who gave you the present (because Sinterklaas actually gave it to you), is really fun At work the post man delivered an emormous big present, and the sender was from Sinterklaas XD Everyone got a big chocolate letter. Of course we all suspect who gave the present, but it's a nice thought huh.

Ah It's good to be back in Holland for two weeks of hollidays. When I told my German boss that the whole Dutch train system and who knows what else did not work anymore because of the snow she laughed It made me long to go back home. So I'm glad to be back in the country where every things goes wrong when the weather gets extreme. I must say that traveling back to Holland with the train was beatifull. Did any of you got in trouble because of the weather?

well luckily not. I was just done in time to miss needing to go to my classes through the storms and foreign exchange students are not getting it at all XD (why the trains and other pt don't transport ppl cause of the weather) oh well thats the lowlands for ya

translation: omg so much folk here. uwaaaa I would never ahve imagined that we'll be with so much in here ^^ I'm from belgium, my mother tongue is French but I went to school in Dutch and honestly Dutch's great, I mean you learn English more easily with it and it makes it 10,000 times easier to learn English! It's great that there's such a group ^^
