lol haven't seen it yet. It's in the mail (hopefully) and euhmm... just so you know it is:'what did you think/thought of the movie.', not find. Find is locating and not the dutch word 'vinden' which can be used in several different context's, like in in find (to find, aka locating something ik vond mijn sleutels = I found my keys) but also in giving your opinion:'ik vind dit en dit' (My opinion is that and that)
actually you can use 'find' in such a way too :P "I found that very distasteful." I heard that sentence once, don't remember where though... It sounds stuffy XD
yes you can use it in the context that you are using it, I don't disagree with that. And perhaps my explination is incomplete (which it is , or at least lacking) but the way it is used by Joe isn't... or at least it sounds very wrong to me XD, very dunglish.
yeah I agree with that one ^^ sorry I just had to be wise-ass XD
Ow gosh, talk about Misterious skins??? I LOVE that movie! It's so good. And sad. And I sure love how that little boy from 3th rock from the sun turned out... *smirks* Did you recieve it already then, Mac? Let us know what you think, eh? ^^ I only know my sister saw it so I'd like to know what other people think of it. (I might have missed Link's opinion in there with the messages... What did you think, Link???) Hm, to much enthusiasm. Gotta cut down on the sugar... Ow, and I agree with Mac on the find and found issue... You can use it like that, but I think it'll give you some issues with actual language freaks. I doubt it's actually correct. Could be slang... Maybe... *get's distracted again* How's everyone's holiday? Did anything special lately? ^^
Yes the movie was great, I actually have to watch the movie again, because I forgot most of the scenes. I loved the ending, it was so emotional But I should stop talking about the ending, since some people still have to watch it >_> And yeah, i was totally shocked, when i saw that guy from third rock from the sun playing 'such' a character! The little professor suddenly became a total drug addict, wtf o.0 And I guess besides the acting the camera work is very artistic. You get in a certain mood when you watch it okok I'm too vague now, but those who have seen the movie should understand me... And sorry Mac, I make lots of Dunglish phrases. I think I have to practice more with speaking and writing. Whenever I say it out loud I will 'think of' it as Dunglish too... XD lol you've corrected me a few times before, such as my misuse of mandatory and compulsory if i recall it correctly.... I don't mind you correcting me, I think I even miss the time chatting with you :S Oh and you misspelled explanation.
oh jolly, a language debate XD now I feel as if my mother's 'boyfriend' (damn that sounds weird for a guy over 50, but they aren't living together so...) was here :P He's kinda of an 'Neerlandicus'
XD *feels ashamed* yes I often type faster then I can think (and that is saying something Oo) and especially if I am a bit tired I make a lot of mistakes, like explanation . And yeah I've been kinda busy for a long time, so don't really have time to relax and chat Oo, it might come again though. and I like the movie. And well to be honest ... I was kinda *drool* a few times, too bad they mostly just film the head and or the legs. I mean sure I understand the 'not full nudity' in light of Americans intolerance of anything that is remotely natural or liberal. But for pete's sake show a bit more skin! But he is drooly :P. And yes it was kinda of unexpected since a lot of American actors who play in a lot of movies rather avoid gay parts, since often they aren't rehired in other parts of they play a gay guy (you can count the successful actors playing gay people on one hand Oo, as far as I know) But he plays it really nice. I think he's a good actor (besides being... well... eye candy XD)
Lol, i think there was plenty of skin in the movie, even a few buttocks flashing moments... Full frontal nudity is censored in most countries... I just find it rather strange why Dutch movies are never like that. Whenever I see a movie from Holland, there always is a nude scene. Really, why is that o.0 Even guys go the full monthy. I'm not complaining about it really, just that I'm turning the perspective around, why the hell are the Dutch so 'tolerant' in this sense >_> Well I don't really know about actors that play gay characters and eventually end up having problems to get other roles.... And yes I think that most actors are stuck with a typical imagairy for some time, for example Pierce Brosnan, Harrison Ford or Tom Cruise. People are type casted and play a role they are good at too. Oh, and I don't think straight guys are really fond of kissing another guy which may also prevent some guys to drop the script immediatly :S And Mac, what are you busy with? Drawing/ Doodling? I love the little dog, almost makes me want to pet it ^_^ Oh, I hope you didn't turn ill after the Chinese food
Yes we Dutch people don't mind nudity that much. But I think it's more like we are used to it. It's not like we are all exhibitionists. It's always weird when some American people are on Dutch talkshows like Jensen and then immediately taking of their pants. *Steve O from Jackass did that.* Wolfje, Toran and I watched the British version queer as folk just now and we loved it Anyone watched that?
