I do hope the gay-pride meeting and the next official meeting are not on the same date... I'd like to go to the gay-pride for the actual gay-things, maybe hit one of the cafe's or bars after, but the yaoi meeting is more for shopping for yaoi stuff, gay-tourism and swapping stuff and chatting, right? I will be going to the pride but if there's a meeting that also goes by all of those places I think I'll pass. (wants to be alive and breathing on the way back home...)

Ow, and I'm not going to the swim meeting either... I'll be working then so I don't have the time... ^^" I hope you'll all have fun though. ^^

Aha, it would be indeed toooo much to cram all the yaoi shopping and gay-themed activities on one day, it's wiser to split it. There are enough things to do in Amsterdam for only gay related stuff, esspecially in the gay capital of the world :P I'm just feeling awfully ambigious because I'm one of those lurker cases, always seen it but never been there.. oh my what would be the next step: participation o.0

So, what do you think? meet at 12 walk through the red carpet of Amsterdam, the damrak: buy fries and wok-to-go. Walk straight to the dam square and admire the biggest fallic symbol of the Netherlands, our official national monument. Then we walk pass the ABC (=has their own gay section) and our own christine le duc branch (=or not?) from there on we can go back to the dam square which has the biggest gay book store in Amsterdam. And then we go straight pass Lambiek (=only sells Dutch/US cartoons) on to the Westerkerk. Near it lies the gay monument, a beautiful representation of the gruwesome periods of the second world war. And then I hope it will be around 1400 hours, because the Westerkerk lies next to the beginning of the Prinsengracht where the canal parade starts! I hope there will be enough room for us to sit... And if we get tired of sitting, we can start walking from around 1600 hours southwards, following the gracht until we meet the Amstel-river. Or we can stop halfway at the Rembrantplein.... which is the centre of the gay scene in Amsterdam, scary place there, lots of 'leather stores' XD

After that we can hang around on Rembrandtplein and buy take away (=impossible to reserve a place to sit inside, way too expensive and certainly way too crowded on such a day when thousands of people from over the worlds comes to Amsterdam). At the end of the day, we walk back to the station... So people don't forget to leave your high heels at home and wear some hiking boots! As you have seen me, I'm not really such a big guy who can carry you for the rest of the day!

(nods) Yeah, that sounds nice... ^^ But we'd have to start quite early... How late do the shops open up? We do want to have some time to check things out, right? We probably should start moving about at 9 or 10-ish, right? Ow, and maybe you should post this on the other tread as well. I don't think everybody checks both treads... ^^"



And I love the idea for takeaway wile at the 'Rembrands plein'. And don't worry about participating. You can just act like we all dragged you into things and you don't want to leave us along. ^_- See, lurker AND participant. (hehe)

Ohh happy day! I've passed my exams, and there's no need for a resit. *breathes a big sigh of relief* To my total and utter surprise, I actually passed "cum laude" too...

So, how did everyone else do?

@Kreatio: Congratulations! You passed Cum Laude? That is awesome. Damn, I wish I could say that.

I also passed my exames and have enough points to go to the VWO. I was so nervous, we would get called if we didn't pass between half 16:30 and 17:30. And the whole night before I couldn't sleep and I was so nervous.
So when it was 17:20, I was like: They are never going to call me now. And then the phone ring... seriously, I got almost a heart attack that would be costing my life. And.. it was my granny. Calling if I already passed. I seriously wanted to kill her at that moment. LOL.

Anyway, did you guys - the ones who passed their exams - get any presents? I got 50 Euro from my Granny, so I love her again <3. I got a DKNY Watch from my Mother and I will get my driving licence from my father - at least, when I'm 18 that is. And Oh! I will be getting an exclusive gift from my sister and her boyfriend.. I just don't really know yet what the gift is, because they say they will give it on my birthday, which is 29 July. Because they need more time to 'prepare' it. That is the way too get me even more nervous for it ;D

Hip hip Hurray for all those who passed their exams My best friend also passed, I'm so happy for her though now I"m gonna miss her at school and another friend as well oh well, life goes on ^^

Congratulations everyone!! (with exams - and damn you Kreatio, that cumn laude shouldve been me <.< XD) I hope you guys have a nice vacation and enjoy your free time (the rest too btw) and don't stress yourself out too much and plan your time full by the second - like I did =.=

lol, I just read.. another meeting.. in a pool? XD I can tell you already.. I ain't comin' XD there is one thing that I am utterly afraid of and that's water. yesh, you've heard me right xP have fun on going there though, seriously ^^ not like that will be hard, somehow everyone is nice and fun around here XD
