I was scared shitless, it's so close to home O.o I was at home doing some homework when my brother called and told me to watch the news. I went and called friends who went there, I cried from relief when a friend told me everyone was okay I hope you guys are all right too and that none of your friends/relatives are hurt.

It scared the **** out of me too, especially when I heard that there were children involved. It makes me sad and angry at the same time.
What was he thinking???

I believe there were 3 children who got injured, the youngest was 8 :S Not only the victims were traumatised, but also all those people who watched people flying in the air when the car launched them 5 meters further. I can't believe I keep thinking it was an accident in the beginning.... but it's true now... It was a deliberate action to spoil our harmonious peaceful Queensday where the Queen could just kiss a random person in the Kalverstraat >_>

I don't think we should focus too much on the culprit, because it will make you more depressed because in the end you cannot do anything against random lunatics who crash a party just to draw attention. I hope everyone still had an awsome Queensday And i just find the name of this day so funny in English...*imagining when there will be an official Queerday*

Yeah, It really is a huge mess... -_-" I must say I am quite glad the culprit is dead. At least now the people won't have to go through the whole trial thing. I know that a lot of people want him punished but at least this way it won't be all over the news for months. Now the people will have a chance to digest what has happened instead of pointing fingers at someone that was clearly a lunatic. (sighs) Next year they'll probably have the Queen locked away in a tank... _-_

there might not be a next year... I mean I can understand if they want to change the date (for example to Willem Alexander's birthday 27th of April) and keep the 30th as a memorial day. I dunno, maybe it will stay the same. It's not even 100% sure it was meant to hit the queen/royal family, just that it was a deliberate action I hope the victims that are still alive will make it through okay, and that all those who saw it don't end up traumatised O.o

@Erian: yes it was sure that it was meant to hit the royal family, they asked him when he was still in the car.

@Toran: but didn't he only say that it was a deliberate action but no further explanation? From what I heard I thought the guy only said something along the lines of 'yeah I did it on purpose' but not what his 'target' was... *runs of to snatch a newspaper*

Hm, well, I dunno... I know he said it was deliberate. I'm not sure about the Royal Family thing either. Although, in terms of security precautions it probably doesn't matter anyway.

@Toran: Yeah, yeah, I know. ^_- I just think its better for everybody, not because I wanted him dead or anything. The sentence would have been to light anyway, and maybe they could have claimed he was insane, and then he'd only get therapy (tbs) and maybe probation time.
