From which i get the feeling that you're impliyng that not enough rings = can't extract.
What i'm trying to get across is... Not enough rings = Still can extract BUT takes longer.
If we go by your case of "not enough rings = can't extract", shouldn't Akatsuki be concentrating on getting back the rings or making more? Rather than going after Naruto?

well ya. sorta but the rings are jsut sybols like the numbers on teh back with football players. say its just 1-11. 1 being goaly the other 10 players. well thats what the rings are. they were with 9 (oro left) so it takes longer. its like math. 10 min trees to cut, 10 ppl. 1 tree each. 5 ppl 10 trees, makes it 2 trees each. so it will take 2x as long to get the job done. they dont need the rings, its just a symbol to em and makes clear who has what spot on it. dont think they need it to extract it.

id still say sasuke cant be in akatsuki.. no ring = no akatsuki. hes like the numberless person in the team
