Lamento Download

After doing quite a bit of googling and searching around the forums here, I've finally gotten fed up with trying to solve this on my own. I hate to repeat questions that have probably already been asked, but I really need help installing Lamento.

As a little background on what I've done so far that has not worked:
- I downloaded the twenty-part MediaFire version (on the download page)
- I extracted all twenty parts
- I extracted boot.iso and LAMENTO_DVD.iso.
- I clicked setup.exe and entered the serial code, basically then just clicking whatever buttons were highlighted as the "better choice" due to the fact that I absolutely don't know Japanese (for now, I'm using ATLAS, but I really do hope an English patch eventually becomes available : /.)
- That seemingly did nothing for me (or perhaps it installed the DirectX, that's a possibility,) so after that I clicked the install file and watched the install wizard go through another installation.

I'm guessing that's where I went wrong, because past that point, there's nothing. I don't get a shortcut for the game, even though the installation appears to go smoothly.
The "install" button on the installation screen does become "Game Start," but that doesn't mean much, because when I click it I get an error that says "[1000]" then a whole bunch of Japanese that I can't decipher, even with ATLAS. That's probably prompting me to insert a disc or something, which I don't own (and I don't think I could own it, because I'm fairly certain it's only available in Japan; how exactly is that fair?)

Has anyone else had the same problem, and figured out how to solve it? I would have followed the instructions exactly on the download page (I even installed Alcohol 120%, thinking I could figure it out,) but I really don't understand them. I'm new to the world of files and internet and downloading. Please help?

Since your game appears to be packaged as a .iso, you probably need to mount it with a resource such as Daemon Tools. That’s how you can fool your system—Daemon Tools is a program that makes your system think it’s reading from a CD, but it’s reading from a .iso file instead!
