    eBook Creator?

CAn anyone recommend an eBook creator? I would like to compile my novels into eBook - format, but I've no idea where to begin. Could someone pls give some basic info? If you could recommend a good / user friendly program I could go from there.

Thanks in advance for all help. (pls let me know if this is not the correct category in which to post this thread)

    Thank You.

An ebook usually comes in the form of a .pdf or a .lit. Now I have no clue about making Microsoft Reader .lit files and they've only just started becoming more popular . .pdf files, however can be made in Adobe Acrobat (not reader which is just the viewer) and perhaps http://adobe.com has a trial of this. Some people also use pdf factory but the trial version leaves an unsavory watermark at the end. But anyway, there are probably also pdf makers out there.

Yea the problem is getting a free pdf creation program, one that works and isnt too fiddly to set up. A lot of people think pdf belongs to Adobe, but its an open standard. i dont know why there arent more free utilities for it. Even those that around seem a bit fiddly to me.

We have Acrobat standard edtion at work which makes pdfs, and I can use that if I want a pdf. They are exelent for many kinds of documents.

The next versions of Word and MS OFFice will have pdf creation built in. but you still have to buy those X_X

I want to try PDFcreator for home, but havent got round to it. site looks a bit geeky, not easy to work out how to get it working.
