Is it possible to burn the animes into DVD? I want to burn the animes into a DVD disc instead of a CD to save space, but I'm not sure if it's possible or not. I'm using Nero by the way.
Thanks.
Of couse it's possible, you'll need a MPEG-2 to burn the DVD.
But from there the process is not the same.
If there's interest form you guys I will make a guide for that.
Right now I'm very busy but I promise to write it by the beginning of nov.

Nero can make the mpeg into dat files, as any burning sw.
As fas as I know it doesn't make the conversion, but it might be a new version or something, if that's true, well is easier than doing all the process by yourself.
So if it's works, let me now, ne?
I still need help.
In the TMPGE:
Enviromental Setting - I can't change the priority in "DirectShow Multimedia File Reader". It's set on -1. How can I change it to the 3 or 4 you recommend?
Project Wizard - when I select the video source conversion, I get a message about the file can not open or is unsupported. The same file will open in the audio file selection box.
I haven't had any problems viewing the avi on my computer or even on my backup data cd. I watch the avi on VLC media player (if that makes a difference).
Thanks for any help you can give. I've been wanting to move these AVIs off my computer and to disc so I can free up space and also enjoy them on my dvd player.
Hopefully, I won't need to bother you once I get to the Nero part of the conversions. LOL!

1) Right click --> Higher priority (if it was in -1 it will change to 0) do it again until you get the 3.
2) Which version of TMPGEnc are you using?
It must be 2.524 or higher and you must have all your codecs updated.
About the codecs, there are some threads in this seccion that will help you.
If you do this and the software keeps giving you troubles, try Canopus Procoder, the wizard is very simple (do next to all the windows excepting the "Select Target" one and choose VideoCD).
OMG! You are my HERO! (Heroine?) It worked! I dl'ed the codec pack and it worked!
Just one more thing (sorry) but....
The subbing is getting cut off. I did three conversions and the first one was fine but the other two, I can't see the subtext. It's cut off at the bottom of the screen. On the original it's clear and no problem but on the VCD, only the tops of the letters are showing up. What can I do to fix that? Is it a setting or something?
Thanks,
CJ
That's weird.
Maybe you're seeing the subs out because actually the screen size converted is smaller than the original
(um, does this make sense?) so you can try changing the aspect radio.
If you followed the guide exactly, your aspect radio is 4:3 (VDC).
Try changing it to 1:1 (VGA) and in the next window (Filter Settings) click on
"Other Settings" and make sure that the Video arrange Method is set on Full Screen.
(and btw I'm a girl ^^)
