Subtitles [ help with .srt files. ] (resolved!)

First off, I hope this is the right forum for this. xD;

Alright. I consider myself to be pretty computer literate, but I'm completely lost on how to deal with .srt files. I understand /what/ they are and what they contain, buuut I haven't the foggiest on how to use them with an actual video file.

I'm not sure how to ask what to do, either. xD

I downloaded and joined the video with WinRAR, and I do have the subtitle file on my drive. o o;;; What's next?

In terms of players, I have:
- The Core Media Player
- DivX Player
- iTunes
- Windows Media Player)

I think, I think if I'm reading the post correctly, you just need to have the video file and the subtitle file have the same name. For example, if the video file is named Bambam01, then the subtitle file should be named Bambam01 too. Then just open the video file and volia! xD

To add to the post above, also make sure that you have the DirectVobSub filter (VSFilter) installed on your computer if you want to play the video file--with subtitles displayed--in WMP or TCMP. Alternatively, you can download a player that comes with the feature "pre-installed", so to speak (Media Player Classic, for example). Hope this helps!
