Graphic softwares

Hi. I'm in need of really good graphic editting softwares like Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. But i want to know other softwares besides those two stated, with more tools and smooth effects. (as you can see, the ones i made are quite "rough" ) so, please list them out. It'll be a great help! Thanks in advance.

While Photoshop is clearly the top quality graphics program *hugs her copy of Photoshop CS* a few others you could look into that also produce decent results are Jasc Paint Shop Pro and GIMP.

GIMP is free software though, so I'll give you the link to the site.

I'm going to second her recommendation of GIMP. It's an amazing subsititue if you can't get your hands on Photoshop. My friend uses it and she's turned out some amazing artwork from it - you can check it out for yourself here: LiZN at Deviantart

Thirding the GIMP rec. GIMP is what I've always used, as it is free, and free is my friend. XD It's a bit rough interface-wise, but it lets you do everything Photoshop can. ^^

Also, i need softwares which allow me to color my arts like any other anime. A rather good quality one if possible. I just hate being restricted to only airbrush tool and worse, Microsoft Paint. -_- Again, i must express my greatest gratitude in advance. XD
