    Sound Gone??

I know it pretty crazy and I don't even know what have happened to me
Last night, when I done scanning the virus/registry scan and ready to turn off the PC, I tried to open another program files [notepad] to print out something and realized that there was no sound.
I meant the usual sound [Windows [default] sound] when you clicking on any program or folder files
I thought my PC be frozen so I restart first . The sound of Windows starting already lost?? even shutting down. I let the PC cool down for half an hour and open it again and nothing changes
I checked my BIOS system and there is sound enabled and nothing wrong with external hardware. I even checked on Device manager, there no red marks nor questions marks.
I seriously don't know what going on here. Would anyone having any idea what happening? Why my Windows suddenly gone away ? It worked just fine minute ago . I have updated my Windows regularly. Is that due to Software issues or Virus attacks?
My last resort is restore point but that not working either.
    Any help is appreciated alot!
    Thanks in advance

    Hi

What speakers are you using and do they work when connected to another device?

Is it just Window's default sound not working or all sound including mp3's etc?

Also (I'm sure you probably checked this already) but have you checked in sound device/properties in Control Panel and made sure sound levels are up and enabled?

Just a weird hunch...maybe somehow your windows sound scheme was switched off....

Check to see if you have windows sound system scheme turned on....

Control Panal --> Sounds & Audio Devices --> Sounds Tab
Also check the hardware tab to see if the audio devices are working properly.

Did you check the volume? Click the first button at Volume tab and see if "wave" and etc are right.

You meant the "speaker" icon right? I opened the tab of that icon
and the dialog of Master Volume, it seems everything there area on the way up to max.
The balance tab is in middle of everything including Master Volume, Wave, MIDI, AUX, CD Audio, Line In, and Microphone
The Mute volume is untouched and remains "disabled"

Very strange. Can you tell us the model of your sound card, I can try to find an updated driver, maybe it got corrupted, I had a problem like that and I had to install my drivers again.
