Help with Firewall

I need a nice free firewall program that you can switch on/off <-- Can you do that?

Reason: I'm using my laptop at uni (they have a no firewall on personal laptop policy since they have their own) and at home (where I need one).

So can anyone help?

There's zone alarm free edition you can use that can do that and a bit more. If you have xp/vista you got a free firewall already installed for you. Hope that helps a bit

I've downloaded Comodo for now, but when I tested it on one of the online leak tests, it fared worse than when I had just my XP firewall up. Umm is there some sort of configuration you have to set it to? And how do I turn it off (for when I'm at uni?)

Did Comodo failed a leak test? That's very strange. You should say that to their support or even post what happened on their forums. The devs are very ative there I aways find help there.
Mine is working almost under default configurations and never failed a test.

Windows' firewall just stops 1% of all attacks, don't trust it.

Opps! Didn't mean a leak test, now how did I come up with that???!!! Meant a port scan, although it looked much better now than it did 2 days ago when I rescanned it.

Scanned it again just now and came up with a new combination again! Of course I have no knowledge of what any of these ports mean except green means good and red means bad.
