Huh...
So it still doesn't boot at all?
Huh...
So it still doesn't boot at all?
Nope
When I try to boot(from hard drive) it with the Windows XP disc in it says there is insufficient resources to run ASPI
When I try to boot without the Windows XP disc it says something about "volume after mounting" (Can't read it coz it flashes by too fast)
Maybe the problem is because the drives (C and E) switched around?
Try to get into MS-DOS using the CD...
Then, open the boot.ini file for editing following the instructions here: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000492.htm
You can use this page as a reference on how to edit in this mode:
http://www.computerhope.com/edithlp.htm
Copy down the contents of the boot.ini file and post it here for me, ok? I will see if I can recommend a change....
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windo ws D" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windo ws E" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
I actually have Windows on both the D and E drive (formerly C drive) at the moment. But the one on E will not boot...
oookay.
Well, out of curiosity, is this what it looked like originally? Or is this the edited boot.ini?
And just looking at that I would have to say remove the line that has "Windows E" in it. It is a complete duplicate.
And Chrono do you have a MSN handle? We could take this over messenger...
Sorry have been busy lately so haven't replied yet. However my brother happened to come by and he did something to help fix my problem (I don't know what) so thanks anyway for the help ^^
LOL. No prob.
