How to eMule...

Does anyone know how to use eMule? I downloaded it and attempted to download some files, but it seems like none of my files are downloading and are all in 'waiting' status. I have looked online to see what's wrong, but it's not saying anything. I don't know what's the matter since all the files I have say that they are 100% completed and have a bunch of sources. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks~

emule is a waiting game. Your sources probably have a long queue and and it is a long wait to move up anyone's queue if that person shares a lot of files. Probably nothing wrong with your setup. The only thing u want to make sure is that you've port forwarded (if u are behind a router) and you've let emule through your software firewall. You should also connect KAD - that way you can find more people who can share files with u.

Ooh, ok. What if I do have a router? How do I take the firewall off? Because KAD says that it won't connect with that firewall on.
