I watch a lot of Hindi movies and the DVD's have 2 movies on one because they need use 9. something GB DVDs and I only have the 4.7GB ones. So I'm forever splitting the movies up, adding the subtitles and audio and then burning again :P
It's a pain in the bum I can tell you :P
I think DVD Copy from Cyberlink can shrink the double layer DVD's on the fly, I don't have it anymore, I can't tell you for sure. Double layer blank DVD's are too expensive.
I love Cyberlink's DVD products...
I did try that, but the quality suffers too much :S
The prices for double layer DVD's are just ridiculous.
Thanks a lot for the links...I'm search for some programs a long time...so THANKS
here you go this works great(dvdfabdecrypter get version 2.9 and 3 if you can) its free but you wil need a program to burn your dvds..these only rip..but the 2.9 version can shrink a dvd9 to a dvd5 with very very little loss of quality I use it all the time
please go here: www.dvdidle.com
take care now
I guess now we have a real pro!

Thanks a lot for your help lemur7
aaawww!! you guys...your making me blush....but seriously....need any more help just pm me and I'll try my best...don't know much about taking pieces of audio/video/subtitle tracks and putting them together(going to learn though) but I do know a good easy to use program when I find one...easy=simple to use with great quality results....and I'm really good at finding out problems and how to solve them....things that people usually just over-look because either its not there looking at them in the face or so so simple they tend forget it is there and they don't think to check...like HZ settings(buzzing/squeeling noise instead of a "real" audio track)that kind of thing
THANK-YOU!!(sorry for yelling)I'm very glad I could help...
VirtualDub is very good to put things together.
