Font sizes on AF - can others confim? Is it just me? Or is it Mac users?

OK, suddenly either Aarin's fonts have gotten smaller or I'm going blind.

Is anyone else seeing Aarin in very small fonts? Is there a setting somewhere that I can change? The top menubar in Firefox looks normal... it's Aarinfantasy that seems to have shrunk significantly. The banner seems unchanged.

What are you seeing? Does my screencap seem normal to you? Are you on PC or Mac? Do you use Firefox?

If I increase font sizes on AF a few clicks, the fonts on LJ are too big; they overlap and I have to step back down. Obviously I can increase font size every time I come to AF. But I wanted to know if it's just me, or if the site is using smaller fonts...

It's not a bug kind of thing, just a change in what I thought was normal on AF.

Thank you for the suggestion, cabbi; I didn't think of trying a reset.

I reset everything to zero. It does seem to me, especially comparing AF fonts with the original banner, that our fonts have decreased in size. The relative views of the three website screens after the reset seem about the same... and I must enlarge fonts when viewing AF.

The smallest fonts on CR are about as small as AF small fonts.

To avoid confusion I have removed the original screencap attachments and replaced them with current screencaps (as IMAGES) taken after the reset. All site screencaps are in Post 1.

its not a settings reset, you should have only changed the zoom on AF, btw after resetting the zoom, have you closed and opened ff again?

Firefox 3 and above: View -> Zoom -> Zoom In / Zoom Out / Reset / Zoom Text Only Ctrl+0 (hold the control key and press zero) resets zoom to normal size (Zoom RESET).
Ctrl++ (hold the control key and press the plus key) makes the text larger (Zoom IN).
Ctrl+- (hold the control key and press the minus key) makes the text smaller. (Zoom OUT)

These changes will only change text sizes temporarily. "Tools -> Options -> Content -> Fonts & Colors gives you options that will stick.

Setting a Minimum Font Size

Some websites may display text which is too small to read comfortably. To make such pages easier to read, you can set a minimum font size. On web pages that try to display text smaller than this size, Firefox will enlarge the text to your chosen size.

To set a minimum font size, open the Options window, select the Content panel, and click the Advanced... button in the Fonts & Colors section. You can specify a minimum font size from the dropdown menu.

Note that some web pages may display incorrectly depending on your choice of a minimum font size.

Btw your sceencaps look normal to me. Af's font is smaller then cr font for me as well.

Also make sure all your addons are upto date as that can sometimes affect it

Also have you tried viewing af in a different browser like ie since you are using ff, to compare. Af font is much smaller for me in ie because I cannot set a min font size like in ff

Post begins in forum default font size:

Dear @cabbit_girl , thank you for taking so much time to provide technical advice.

I did already have a minimum font size set to 18, but even if I set it to 24 or larger, it's usually overridden by web pages, including AF posts which ignore it.

Forum font size 3: This may only be an issue on Macs, which is why I was asking what others see, using what OS. And I'll just increase font size when I come to AF so it won't be a problem.

P.S. The beginning of this post was typed in AF default font, then enlarged to Size 3 and this part set to size 2, which USED TO BE THE DEFAULT. I have just discovered that the default size for the post font is now SIZE 1.

I just verified that the forum font sizes have been changed by looking at my recent giveaway, which was coded in default (forever has been set to 2) and the title in size 3. AF font size default there and here is now size 1; the appearance of my closed giveaway as well as my last post proved this. My original question is answered and the answer confirmed.

Cabbi is seeing my default typing as size 2?
I am not; I see size 1 when no selection is made... as with this section.
I AM SEEING ALL THE POSTS ON THIS PAGE IN SIZE 1 FONT by default, unless set to larger size.

Testing again...

Default font size (no selection)
Set to font size 1
Set to font size 2
Set to font size 3
Set to font size 4
Default font size (no selection) - is same as font size 1

My sig uses font size 1. For comparison... this is the same without any selection. Size 1 default, dude. WTF?
