Togainu No Chi Window title appears as ™é‹ç‚ÌŒŒ

When playing Togainu No Chi, the game directory, as well as the window title for the game, appear as "™é‹ç‚ÌŒŒ" If you don't see a trademark symbol, e-acute, <, cedille, I-grave, and an o-e ligature, you're not seeing it how I'm seeing it.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I've tried running it through applocale with japanese, but it gives me a "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect".

The in-game japanese characters work fine, as does the english patch, but not the window title/directory name

no your not doing anything wrong nor is there anything wrong ....you just need to install "eastern Asian language pack and fonts" ...the you'll see kanji instead of the unicode symbols...
