Any Video Converter is indeed the best and so simple that even one as dumb as me can use it. You can download it from filehippo.com.

I think OP's question has been answered now, specially now that about 5 different programs have been mentioned and no more questions were asked.

Yesterday, i found an article about video conversion when i was searching on the internet for some free video conversion software, it asked me to download their HD video converter Factory Pro Crack to convert MP4 . In this article, as you can see in (Some Practical Advice on Using HD Video Converter Factory Pro Crack) it mentions that the mp4 video size can be dramatically reduced after I convert it. But after I installed the free software and converted my MP4 video file to AVI video format, the video size larger, around 60 percent larger than the original mp4 while the output quality still sucked a lot. I did not change bit rate, frame rate or resolution along with other various parameters at all. Do you have any idea about how i can solve this issue?
Hi-there ...yeah ....the conversion to AVI from an Mp4 will always result in a larger file...
you also need to tweak the settings a bit,,that will vary from video to video..the best basic converter for this I've found is the older FLV to AVI ...which does a pretty good job and it's totally free....other people do use other programs mind you...you can also try the AlltoAVI ...it is also free....but to be honest each person has certain programs they like or not like when it comes to video conversions,,you may need to gather up a few different kinds to see which meets your own needs better...

as for settings most times the defaults usually are okay ....at times just a small tweak to up the audio say 128 kbs to maybe 192kbs or a video bit rate from 710 put to 1200 or more ..but these both will increase the file size..

you can try filters to improve the quality ..such as "sharpen" ,"soften",,"contrast" and "brighten" ....but to be honest if the video quality is not so good to begin with,,there is only so much a person can do,,other than reduce the overall resolution ..meaning a smaller frame size...the small overall image will not show the loss of quality as much if viewed in the same size you just made it.....

    hope this helps some ....

Strange, I thought AVI was just a container... anywhom, the size depends greatly on the codec used for the conversion.

Honestly, you don't seem much up to date...
Just use Handbrake or could try Avidemux2 but I don't know the update status of the latter.

You can't uprate something if the data isn't there.

True, in the end all depends on the source material.
