I like using Page Up/Down keys to scroll down pages but for some reason they take me to previous or next visited pages. I think it started when I changed to Firefox 4. Is there a way to stop it? It's driving me nuts!

This is a list of keyboard shortcuts for firefox 4 81 useful Keyboard Shortcuts for Firefox 4.
When you say that it's going to the next or previous loaded page, do you mean tabs? Because that means that the control key is stickying (though it may make it awkward doing other things).
Otherwise, hmm, seems a little odd, because the firefox short cuts shouldn't be easy to change from their default actions.
Some questions to try and diagnose it further:
If you press the space bar or space bar + tab, does that work to go up and down the page?
If your in a word document or something similar - does everything work as normal when you type? and does the pg up and pg down work normally too?
No, it doesn't go to next tab but page. I have three tabs open now and tabs don't change. I'm replying to you now but if I press PgUp it would take me back to the UserCP, where I was before got here. ctrl + pgup works the same. It doesn't changes tabs : ( Space bar scrolls down, space bar + tab um, it takes me to next link on the page, highlights it kind of. Word docs work just fine.
I've been looking at this issue because it's a little weird - firefox deliberately doesn't make it easy to change the keyboard shortcuts.
However I found the issue
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=640587
Its been reported that some of users, like me, are having this problem on their Asus model laptops. Another common factor between the models could be the use of Elantech drivers for touchpad mouses.
The bugzilla.com link provided above has a fix that has worked for me so far. It goes as following:
1. Go to about:config
2. Find ui.elantech_gesture_hacks.enabled
3. Change its value from -1 to 0
4. Restart FF
5. If you run into a bug that option was designed to fix (non-working page swipe gestures), install the latest Elantech driver (ElanTech Touchpad Driver v 8.0.7.0 - TechSpot Drivers) and reboot.
I has proven to work for me. However, I did not need to install the latest driver or have not had to so far, thus I cannot confirm that part of the fix.
