Post count

I have posted in various places but I don't always get an increase in my post count. i.e. I answered questions here and they count. I take a poll and post in that thread and that doesn't count. Claimed a bishie and that didn't count.
When does a post count and when doesn't it? Is it only certain sections that are counted?

some sections of the forum increase the post count , some sections don't. It depends where you post. you can visit post count issues for more information.
