SD card reader not being read by the computer

This has been going on for about an hour. My laptop isn't able to read the SD card reader. I put it into the slot and it shows up green as well. I open the Computer folder, but it's not there.

I have a HP laptop. The SD card is for my phone. I don't have a USB cable that comes with the phone.

I tried over and over, even restarting my computer, but nothing is working. Please help.

Could be the SD card corrupted? Have you checked that memory with another PC?
