Hi!
I just got a new Toshiba L650 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed but I'm having trouble connecting to my mobile broadband. I have a modem which plugs into my computer via a USB cable and then picks up and allows me access to my provider's wireless internet, but whenever I try to connect, the Windows Connection Manager says that it doesn't recognise the network (public network) and I can't get a connection. I've called my provider and they said it actually looks like I'm connected from their end, so they can't identify the problem. I also got onto my security software company (McAffee) and we turned off the firewall and did various other things, but it made no difference.
Does anyone have any idea of what I should do? I can connect to my home WLAN just fine and I actually have a wireless modem/dongle with the different internet provider which I can also connect to without problems, so I'm really confused as to what's going on.
