    expression web help

    I just created a new website using the Dynamic Web Templates. I created the
    site from the ground up using a 4 row table, then splitting the 3rd row in
    two. The top row I assigned the Navigation Bar and added the buttons. The
    3rd row is the only two areas you can edit when you create a page from the
    .dwt master file.

    Now the top navigation menu bar works great. I wanted to know if the
    following was possible?

    Let's say I have two pages in my website. The first one is Home and the
    second one is Calendar. Both pages were created off of the master.dwt
    mentioned above. Now on my Calendar page I add another navigation menu bar
    to the left column in the third row. I create 2 buttons. I would create two
    new pages, one for Birthdays and the other one for Anniversaries.

    How do I get the new navigation bar to repeat on the Calendar page and the 2
    new pages Birthdays and Anniversaries?

    Home
    Calendar
    ---> Birthdays
    ---> Anniversaries

    Basically a Child or Sub Navigation bar within the website.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    With the set up you currently have going, I'd say your best bet is to simply use the Calender file to create both the Anniversary and Birthday pages. This way, the secondary navigation buttons will show up on both pages.

    However, if you plan to update the secondary bar on a regular basis, I would recommend creating a separate .htm file with only the navigation bar. Doing this, you can choose to either insert an Object (via javascript) or an iFrame (no javascript) into the left column of the third row for your Calender -> child pages. Doing this, you can update or change the secondary navigation bar as much as you want without having to change it in every page.

    For Object/Javascript method, please refer to this link - > here

    To use an iFrame, please refer to this link - > here

    Personally, I find iframes to be much easier, especially if the website is rather simple to begin with. They can be pretty well customized, too. But if you're comfortable with java, then an object would be a more stable option.
