Silver Chaos Fanbox patch

I've downloaded and installed SCEF recently. I can play the game fine without the english patch, as in... it works well without any crashing or glitches. Only problem is... I don't understand hiragana nor do I speak a word of japanese lol

But then, the moment I patched it, the game refuses to start and the mainsystem.exe error comes up.
Patch used was the English Patch v0.7 build 74 by LostUno since apparently, it's the only patch available anywhere.

Can anyone help me out? Maybe explain why this is happening and how I can fix it.. Or link me up, if there's by chance a diff patch I can use?
