Photobucket re-sizing (?)

Uh. Hope this is alright to post it here. Already check around, seem like this is the only place I can think of to ask.

Anyways, is it just me or does photobucket actually resize even signatures?
Pictures (signatures) thats not even that big to begin with.

I need to know because I cant remember my old sig's actual sizes (from like 2005) ...
I was wondering that I'm not confusing it because of AF's size.

I just did a test with a 500x200 sig... It is still the same size...
I don't know more. I checked to see if it is talked about automatic resize of pic or else... but couldn't find.

If it's not over 1 mb, then they won't resize it. But I have noticed that after a while, the quality reduces
