Keep Getting Logged Out

Hi, everyone!

I use IE 8 and OS Win XP. I keep getting logged out of some websites, even though I checked the "Keep me logged in" box.

I mainly notice it on Facebook, deviantART and MyAnimeList. After I've been logged in and using them for a while, this error occurs (sometimes it takes just a few clicks, or it might allow me half an hour trouble-free if I'm lucky), then I have to log in with my username again to continue.

It's very frustrating, but wasn't a big of a problem till I heard about the big upcoming update on aarinfantasy. I am now concerned that this same problem may occur here too, with the major code changes, and would like to get it solved just in case.

I've already tried clearing the cache and selected the option for "Automatic login with current user name and password", but neither solved this issue for me.

I'm no expert on computers but ever tried:
Click on Tools > Options > Security > Remember passwords from sites.

I may be wrong though.

try using mozilla or chrome, i find that ie8 is really a nuisance as it keeps asking me to install a "bing" toolbar, and it won't let me press "no thanks"

Personally, i love mozilla, but chrome's not too bad either :P

@Erotic Devil: I have this options ticked, so I'm afraid that's not it..

@christine2000: Firefox is generally considered a much better and more secure browser than IE, but since it's not really a solution but rather a way around the problem , I don't consider it at the moment.

And chrome's users seem to be having this same browser issue, too. They suggest
under Settings > Options > Under the Hood > Content settings
manually check the box that says "Clear cookies and other site date when I close my browser" and then Save&Close the browser. Then open it again and go into the same settings and uncheck that box.

It actually makes sense because this way chrome should debug itself by resetting all its cookie and web date settings to default. There's a similar option in IE, Empty Temporary Internet Files folders when browser is closed, but turning it on and off doesn't fix it, unfortunately.

Few questions... Are you browsing in "private session"? Do you have these website in favorite?...

I am using Chrome and sometimes I am also logged off... I think the cookies are somehow flushes on a regular basis (and usually after a crash of the web explorer)... It is not so frequent, so I never double checked on it...

Regarding IE8, some are pointing to the setup for auto-form completion, some recommend to have the sites in favs because IE8 prioritizes cookies for these...
There could be a 3rd party involved in it also... such as an Av which would not let the cookies being stored, a flush of the History... even with the remember password or not deleting the cookies... these can go through with the manual flush...

In addition, there is this thread with multiple questions and answers in regards of login... perhaps it can help a bit for narrowing a solution

Ughh.. IE 8 XD
I REALLY don't like using that internet browser, Mozilla is ALOT better. And for researching, I sometimes use google chrome since I get results alot faster P:
&& OS Win XP, sounds like an old version of Windows xDD

Thanks for the exhaustive reply, angerbda.
They always say check 3rd party software, and it's never the case. I didn't hope it'd help this time too, but it seems it settled the issue.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security and I'm not quite sure what exactly is wrong with its settings, but when I disable it IE works perfectly fine.
At least I know now where the problem is. ^^;
